Govt to open eight new ashram schools


Raipur, Jun 26, 2012

Government will open eight new ashram schools for primary level SC students.  A directive in this connection has been issued by SC/ST development department from Secretariat on Tuesday.
The officials of the department informed that seven schools will be opened for girls while one will be opened for boys. Each ashram school will have 50 seats.
The girls’ ashram schools will be opened in Arang, Kosrangi, Samoda, Chandkhuri (Raipur district), Paneka (Rajnandgaon district), Dhurvagudi (Gariyaband district) and Kot (Balodabazar district).
The boys’ ashram school will be opened in Bamhanikala under Masturi development block (Bilaspur district).
The officials further informed that the department had also approved 64 different posts for the ashram schools. The posts include head master – 8, deputy superintendent – 8, assistant teacher (Shikshak panchayat) – 16, peon (regular) – 6, class IV employee – 24 and full-timer sweeper – 8. The department has also sanctioned Rs 27 lakh for the ashram schools for 2012-13.
