Cong monitoring panel meet in Sarguja on Oct 18

Raipur, October 15, 2011

The second meeting of Congress monitoring committee will be held in Ambikapur (Sarguja division) on October 18 & 19. In the meeting, the committee will take stock of progress of Central schemes, especially MNREGA works in Sarguja division. In this connection, the committee has invited party’s local office-bearers representing blocks, districts and state along with janpad presidents, MLAs and former MLAs. The PCC president Nandkumar Patel and CLP leader Ravindra Choubey will leave for Ambikapur on October 17 night.
Notably, the party supremo Sonia Gandhi has constituted monitoring committee along with coordination and disciplinary committees to oversee flagship programmes of the UPA government in Chhattisgarh.
To elicit better result, the state Congress general secretary incharge of BK Hariprasada then appointed district-wise monitoring committee incharges to prepare reports about status of Centrally-sponsored schemes and level of corruption in them.
However, when the panel’s district incharges failed to accomplish the given task saying that not individual but group effort was required to get better outcome, the PCC president Nandkumar Patel announced last month that the members would conduct statewide tour in teams from Sarguja division.
The committee chairman Arvind Netam has asked all the members to mandatorily attend the meeting. The committee members are - Satyanarayan Sharma, Tarun Chaterjee, Chanesh Ram Rathiya, Ghanaram Sahu, Devvrat Singh, Jhitruram Baghel, Imran Memon, Fulodevi Netam, Ganeshshankar Bajpayee and Chandraprakash Bajpayee.
