The Economic Offence Wing (EOW) has raided ten government officials and employees on charges of corruption/bribery and has recovered disproportionate assets from the in two years. Chief Minister Raman Singh imparted this information in written reply to an unstarred question of Congress MLA Dr Shiv Kumar Daharia during the budget session of Vidhan Sabha on Tuesday.
Daharia asked from the CM regarding number of raids conducted by the EOW on government officials and employees on charges of corruption/bribery/properties acquired more than income in 2010-11 and 2011-12 (till February 25). He also sought details of guilty officials and employees including their name, post name, department and the estimated amount recovered from them.
The CM informed that the EOW raided nine officials and employees in 2010-11 and one in 2012 till February 25.
