In wake of recent downpours Congress has demanded compensation for flood-affected people. “The disaster management department should have done preparations in advance to deal floods during rains. Now, when people lost their crops, properties, the government should ask the disaster management department to instantly conduct survey of flood-hit areas and distribute compensation to the affected people,” said Congress spokesperson Mahendra Chhabda.
