Raipur, December 04
While counting for recently held assembly polls will be done on December 8 and results will be announced on the same day, the political parties and voters are anxious to know the names of candidates whose position would be clear first and the ones who would have to keep their cool for long. According to turnout, the results of constituencies with low voting would appear early while that of high voting would be announced in the end.
The Election Commission has done adequate arrangements for counting that will be done in 27 district headquarters. There will be 14 tables for each constituency. In every round, 14,000 votes will be counted.
Among 90 assembly constituencies, Maoist-infested Bijapur marked least number of votes, i.e. 69,826. The result of this constituency will appear first as its counting will complete in just five rounds.
After Bijapur, Konta and Manendragarh Vidhan Sabha areas recorded low voting with 75,847 and 90,000 votes respectively. Hence, the result of these areas will be declared in six and seven rounds of counting.
