State assembly Speaker Dharamlal Kaushik took holy dip in Ganges during
ongoing Kumbh in Allahabad
on Friday. He also prayed for peace and prosperity of the country at Hanuman
temple on the bank of river Ganga. On the
occasion, he was accompanied by his family members and panchayat and rural
development minister Hemchand Yadav.
Later, Kaushik and Yadav also visited
Chhattisgarh Tourism Board’s (CTB) stall at Kumbh mela site. In the stall, the
CTB has displayed pictorial exhibition of Chhattisgarh’s culture and heritage.
Praising CTB’s stall, Kaushik said through
exhibition the devotees coming to Kumbh would get information about
Chhattisgarh’s renowned places of religious and historical importance.
He congratulated chief minister Raman Singh,
culture and tourism minister Brijmohan Agrawal and CTB staff for putting
state’s stall at Kumbh mela.
On the occasion, Kaushik also mentioned Rajim
Kumbh and said the state government deserve appreciation for popularising it.
He said it was efforts of the CM and the culture and tourism minister that the
annual Rajim Kumbh was being organised successfully for past seven years.
