Tibetan spiritual leader and noble laureate for peace Dalai Lama will
arrive in state capital at evening on March 6. On the following day he will
visit to Sirpur at morning. On the occasion, he will be accompanied by tourism
and culture minister Brijmohan Agrawal and officials of Chhattisgarh Tourism
Board (CTB).
In
the afternoon, Dalai Lama will participate in the first convocation ceremony of
Kushabhau Thakre University of Journalism and Mass Communication (KTUJM) as a
chief guest. The programme will be presided over by Governor and chancellor of
state universities Shekhar Dutt.
The
special guests of convocation ceremony will be chief minister Raman Singh,
state assembly speaker Dharamlal Kaushik, leader of opposition in Vidhan Sabha
Ravindra Choubey, Rajya Sabha member Nandkumar Sai, Lok Sabha member Ramesh
Bais, tourism and culture minister Brijmohan Agrawal, higher education minister
Ramvichar Netam and commerce and industry minister Rajesh Munat.
According
to information, the CTB and KTUJM are making adequate preparations to make
Dalai Lama’s state visit memorable.
