CGBSE bans entry of outsiders in exam centres

With commencement of class X and XII examinations, the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has banned entry of outsiders in exam centres. 

In this connection, the board has made a provision under section 2 of Chhattisgarh Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2008. 

The CGBSE has issued a circular in this regard to all the district education officers and centre heads for class X and XII exams.

The circular says that any person, who has not been given responsibility pertaining to public examination or who is not an examinee, will neither enter the exam centre nor provide any assistance at the centre. 

There is provision of one-year imprisonment or Rs 20000 fine if any outsider violates Act enters the exam centre

The circular also mentions that media person too will have to obtain permission from secretary CGBSE to enter the exam centre.
