24 Cong corporators to leave for Sanjari-Balod on Feb 4


To campaign for their party’s candidate in by-election

The state Congress has decided to throw its full might in the Sanjari-Balod legislative Assembly by-election slated to be held on February 14, 2011. The PCC president Dhanendra Sahu has instructed not only instructed the senior leaders and legislators to join the hustings in Sanjari-Balod, but has also delegated responsibilities to the party workers and corporators. In this connection, about 24 Congress corporators from Raipur Municipal Corporation will leave for Sanjari-Balod on February 4.
The DCC president Inderchand Dhariwal has submitted the list of these corporators that includes four female corporators to Sahu on Tuesday. The corporators who would go for campaigning had given their consent during their meeting that held at Congress Bhawan on January 31, 2011.
According to information, these corporators would be given the responsibility of booths in the Assembly constituency. Besides, the corporators from other municipal corporations including Bilaspur, Bhilai and Rajnandgaon will also participate in the hustings. They will canvass in their defined areas for their party’s candidate Mohan Patel till February 12.
