Now, zone commissioners to monitor sanitation from 7-9 am

Now, the zone commissioners will monitor sanitary works of their respective areas in the morning from 7-9 am. The civic Commissioner OM Prakash Choudhary has issued directives in this connection on Wednesday.
Besides, he said the zonal health officials should mandatorily present in their areas from 6:30 am 1 pm and must ensure that the sanitary contractors carry out works according to norms. He also asked the zone commissioners to prepare lists of small and big nullahs of their areas and to submit it in next three days to commence massive nullah cleaning drive in coming days.
He said the roadside garbage should be lifted and dumped in the Sarona-based trenching ground regularly. For this, logbook should be maintained on daily basis and an average monthly report should be submitted to the civic administration, he said.
Choudhary further instructed official to remove garbage vats from the zones in phased manner and identify secondary collection point for litter that would be lifted by the garbage collection vehicles to dump in trenching ground on daily basis.
He said separate gangs of sanitary workers should be formed at zonal level – males (at least 20 workers) and females (ten or above) for proper cleaning of the wards.
