Senior Congress MLA Ajit Jogi says chief minister Raman Singh is using various tactics to gain popularity. “In last nine years, while corruption, Maoism, etc increased to manifold in state, the CM’s popularity declined sharply. As a damage control exercise and of course to deceive people, he is fixing his felicitation programmes through private organisations,” Jogi said on Wednesday.
On paddy procurement process he said the government should first announce bonus. “With delay in declaration of bonus, the grain merchants are buying paddy from krishi upaj mandis by paying Rs 10-20 higher than minimum support price (MSP). The farmers would not get benefit of bonus if it would be stalled further,” he said.
