Senior Congress MLA Ajit Jogi on Tuesday said before asking Congress to disclose expenses of its November 4 Delhi rally, the India Against Corruption (IAC) leader Arvind Kejriwal should first reveal fund details of his rallies organised in national capital as well as in other parts of country.
“Unless he does it, he has no right to mount pressure on other political parties do so,” Jogi said.
He also objected over use of tricolour in Kejriwal’s rallies. “No political party is authorised to use tricolour in its programmes, however Kejriwal’s party is using it. Criminal offence should be lodged against him in this connection,” he said.
Gadkari’s remark irk Congress
Reacting on BJP president Nitin Gadkari’s controversial comparison of wanted terrorist Dawood Ibrahim with Swami Vivekanand, Jogi said the remark was ridiculous and condemnable.
“This is an insult to Swami Vivekanand and his followers. The Centre should register criminal suit against him,” he demanded.
The Pradesh Mahila Congress (PMC), on the other hand, termed Gadkari’s remark as unfortunate. “He should immediately tender apology or else the people will teach lesson to the BJP in upcoming elections,” said PMC secretary Vibha Sahu.
