With it demand of implementation of back paper system in Indira Gandhi Agriculture University (IGAU), the members of Youth Congress (YC) gheraoed the varsity vice chancellor SK Patil on Tuesday.
“The back paper system is prevalent in engineering colleges for the past several years. This system is in favour of students as they get another opportunity to clear their back papers of first, second and third years. The IGAU should not have problem in implementing it,” said the YC’s Raipur Lok Sabha general secretary Pankaj Mishra.
“We urged Patil to at least give one attempt to the students to clear their back papers from the current academic session onwards but he the new system would only be implemented from next session,” he added.
The YC members warned Patil of demonstrating aggressively if he would not amend the rules and commence back paper system from the current session.
On the occasion, Mishra was accompanied by Sanju Thakur, Hira Nagarchi, Amar Kurre, Prateek Yadu, Neeraj Pandey, Sudhanshu Verma, Vikas Malhotra, Manish Gajbhiye, etc.
