Cong: BJP never fulfills its promises made during polls

Raipur, April 21, 2011

The Pradesh Mahila Congress (PMC) has said that the BJP government never fulfilled the promises it make during elections. Now, people have understood that the BJP’s sole intention to come into power was to exploit them, said the PMC secretary Yashoda Manhare. “During every election, the BJP start tempting voters by making false promises but it hardly remember them after victory,” she said. “In Bastar by-poll, the voters would give strong reply to BJP and would give their mandate to Congress,” she said. Pointing out towards the promises of BJP in the past including Rs 270 bonus to the farmers and free electricity for pumps up to five horsepower for irrigation purpose, Manhare said the farmers and poor were living in the most dejected condition in the state.
