A delegation of state Congress leaders will soon meet President Pratibha Patil and inform her about the rising corruption in the state. The PCC president Nandkumar Patel on Friday said that the delegation would further inform the President about the wrong policies of the BJP government and submit a charge sheet against it along with documental evidence.
Patel alleged that corruption prevailed in all the departments of the BJP government and it had deliberately kept its eyes closed.
Pointing out towards issues like allocation of mines and purchase of electricity, he said, “The government failed to maintain transparency in allocating mines and incurred loss worth crores of rupees. Similarly, it is also responsible power purchase corruption that worth about Rs 16000 crore.”
He said the delegation of Congress leaders would request to the President to ask the BJP government to change its wrong policies and take effective measures to curb corruption.
He said the delegation would also inform the President about lawlessness in the state and about villagers, especially who live in remote areas with any basic facilities like road, water, electricity, hospital and school. “Over 1500 schools in entire Bastar region are still closed owing to government’s apathy and the children have to travel long distance to pursue their education,” he said.
He informed that the state Congress will also open legal cell that would file suit in the High Court against the corruption cases.
