Open school exams to begin from July 1

Raipur, May 03, 2011

The open school examinations for class 10th and 12th will be conducted from July 1-15, 2011. About 90000 students from different parts of the state would appear in these exams. The time-table of these exams was announced on Tuesday.
The officials of Chhattisgarh State Open School (CSOP) informed that the exams would be conducted from 8-11 am. They said the time-table would not be changed even if the state government would declare local holiday on any day during the examination period. The students can obtain exam time-table from their respective study centres after May 9, they added.

The practical exams would be conducted either during the gaps between two papers or within seven days after completion of the exams. For this, the students have been instructed to remain in contact with their study centres.
For exam preparation, the CSOP has already started distributing study materials to the students recently. However, the books of few subjects have not been published owing to which the students are facing inconvenience. Admitting that the CSOP was responsible for delay in publication of Chemistry and few other subjects, the department’s Deputy Secretary Iffat Ara informed that the missing books would be available within next week. She also assured that the department would publish the study materials beforehand from next year and distribute them to the students at least three-four months in advance for better preparation.
