The BJP national president Nitin Gadkari is once again in controversy due to his non-calculated talks. This time, he has targeted Congress and has once again made politically incorrect remark raising the delay in hanging death row convict Afzal Guru. The other BJP leaders, especially national spokespersons startled as soon as they heard Gadkari’s comments because they knew how much exercise they would have to do now to save party’s image and give a sophisticated meaning to Gadkari’s comments. The BJP spokesperson Ravishankar Prasad says Gadkari’s comments reflect people’s sentiments and wrath against the UPA government. But BJP workers in Chhattisgarh ask why only Gadkari face criticism when worst remarks had been made by various leaders like Mayawati, Mulayam Singh Yadav, Lalu Prasad Yadav, M Karunanidhi, J Jayalalitha and several leaders from Southern India, Bal Thackrey, Raj Thackeray and even from Sonia Gandhi who had used unparliamentary words against Narendra Modi. They also questioned why Congress leaders were mum when Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar had said that people would not die if they would consume less sugar when he was asked by the media pertaining to his failure in curbing rising sugar prices.
