50 awareness progs held to make women self-reliant

With an objective to make women self-reliant state’s Women and Child Development Department has organised fifty entrepreneurship awareness programmes in past two years. In these programmes, the expert trainers also imparted procedures to establish own small business units. The officials of Women and Child Development Department informed that the participants in the entrepreneurship awareness programmes were widows, disabled and women from financially weaker section of the society. They informed that the participant’s age should not exceed 40 and maximum of fifty can attend in one awareness programme. These programmes are being organised since 2007-08. In 2010-11, about 30 awareness programmes have been organised while in 2011-12, the department organised 20 programmes, informed the officials.
