The government has decided to plant 7.30 crore saplings this year under it Hariyar Chhattisgarh Mahaabhiyan 2012. Under this campaign, the all the departments have been give specific target. According to information, the highest target has been given to Forest department which will plant 4.50 crore saplings. For the plantation drive, the government has prepared over 10.53 crore saplings of about 836 species. Notably, the government departments had planted 8.17 crore saplings as against target of 6.37 crore last year.
