Anticipating arrival of monsoon next week the state-level flood control room has started functioning at room number 298 in state Secretariat from Friday.
Secretary Revenue and Disaster Management Department Dr BL Agrawal inspected the flood control room on Saturday and informed that it would remain open round the clock.
During inspection, he issued necessary directives to the staffers engaged in the flood control room.
He asked the officials not only to remain updated with increasing water level of reservoirs, but also to keep the pone number of meteorological department, fire brigade, All India Radio, Doordarshan, district Collectors and SPs.
The officials of flood control room informed that the staffers would work there in three shifts – from 6 am-2 pm, 2-10 pm and 10pm- 6 am. The phone numbers of flood control room are 0771-4080593 and 0771-2221242.
