With Congress making a mindset to pit Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee for presidential elections, the party’s state unit has hailed the decision terming the senior party leader most apt for the coveted post. “He is a seasoned leader with long parliamentary experience and vast knowledge. He is serving the nation for the past five decades and his selection for presidential election is certainly appropriate,” said PCC president Nandkumar Patel and CLP leader Ravindra Choubey on Friday.
