Cong monitoring panel meet sans Netam in Durg today

After going against party lines and appealing tribals to support PA Sangma in presidential polls, senior Congress leader Arvind Netam is likely to refrain from attending the party’s monitoring committee meeting in Durg district on Thursday. Netam, who chairs the panel, will be the missing face in the meeting which will be attended by other committee members including PCC president Nandkumar Patel, CLP leader Ravindra Choubey and incharge general secretary of Durg Lok Sabha constituency Subhash Sharma to scan progress of MNREGA and other Central schemes in the district.

According to PCC secretary Yogesh Tiwari informed that panel meeting at Durg city will be convened by Patel and Choubey. The duo will also interact with the media persons at 5:30 pm in Congress Bhawan Durg.

The panel’s block-level meetings will be conducted by the committee members along with local leaders to fetch information pertaining to irregularities in MNREGA works.

The block-level meetings will be held at Durg Rural, Dhamdha, Patan, Bhilai-Charoda, Kumhari, Jamul, Kosanala (Supela), Bhilai Block 1, Bhilai Block 2, Bhilai Block 3, Bhilai Block 4, Bhilai Block 5 and Bhilai Block 6.
