Congress cells to be restructured by June 29


Patel asks cells to intensify activities

Raipur, June 18, 2012

 The executive bodies of Congress cells will be restructured by June 29. A directive in this connection was given by PCC president Nandkumar Patel while he was interacting with the office-bearers of the party cells in presence of CLP leader Ravindra Choubey at Congress Bhawan on Monday.
Patel asked the heads of cells to incorporate youth power as well as representatives of all sections of the society in their executive bodies. He further instructed them to expedite activities of cells considering less than two years remaining for next Assembly polls.
He said the presidents of cells should ensure participation of workers in the party programmes and start preparing for 2013 polls. He said the cells should improve organisation’s image by struggling for the people and ensuring benefit of welfare scheme reach the end beneficiary of the society through.
Besides, he said, the cells should frequently raise public-related issues and mount pressure on the government to revoke its anti-people policies. He said the party expects from the cells to continue gheraoing the government on its anti-farmer stand, pro-industrialist attitude and its failure to give good governance in the state.
The first meeting was attended by president of ex-servicemen cell Jeevan Lal Sahu, president of disabled service cell Mahendra Kochchar, president of political training cell Uday Mudliyar and party vice president & incharge of these three cells TS Singhdeo.
The second meeting was attended by president of backward class cell Motilal Sahu, president of minority cell Haji Sheikh Najimuddin, president of panchayati raj cell and youth backward class cell Deenanath Sahu and party vice president Baijnath Chandrakar who is also the incharge of these cells.
The second meeting was also attended by president of scheduled caste cell Ramlal Bhardwaj, president of medical cell Dr Shivnarayan Dwivedi, president of migration & bonded labour cell and grievance redressal cell Mohanmani Jatwar and PCC vice president and incharge of these cells Haridas Bhardwaj.
In addition, the second meeting was attended by president of kisan khet majdoor cell Digvijay Singh Kridutt, president of vichar vibhag Surendra Sharma, president of INTUC Ajaz Dhebar and president of legal cell Faizal Rizvi, president of business cell Kanhaiyya Agrawal, Abdul Hameed Hayat, Amit Pandey, Ashok Ahuja and party spokesperson Mahendra Chhabda.
