For Presidential polls
Raipur, June 22
CLP leader Ravindra Choubey and PCC president Nandkumar Patel will be proposer and seconder respectively for Pranab Mukherjee’s candidature for the July 19 Presidential elections.
In this connection, Choubey and Patel left for national capital on Friday morning. According to information, Mukherjee is likely to file his nomination papers for Presidential polls on June 24. There will be four sets of nomination papers and each set will have 50 proposers and seconders.
As decided, the Congress has made CLP leaders and PCC presidents as proposers and seconders from the states where it is in opposition.
