Reacting to stone pelting by BJYM members during chief minister Raman
Singh’s rally under government’s vikas yatra in Rajnandgaon, Congress on
Saturday said the incident confirmed that the BJPians were rejecting
government’s development talks.
“Clashing
for power is BJP’s old tradition. However, no one had expected that reply of
administrative and political anarchy prevailed in state would come in form of
stone pelting,” he said.
“The
CM and other BJP leaders should now do self-analysis that how colourful
pamphlets which surface sporadically from the party depicting angst against
government suddenly transformed into stones,” he added.
He
said Rajnandgaon’s incident was an indicator of BJP’s internal reality. “Hence,
the young BJPians of CM’s assembly constituency resorted to stone pelting to
express their feeling about the government. For past one decade, a couple of
BJP leaders and their supporters are at the driving seat of power and remaining
are feeling neglected,” he added.
He
said while the people had rejected CM’s development talks from the beginning of
BJP’s tenure, the party workers too now admit that the government did nothing.
“The
dedicated BJPians are feeling inconvenience by the hype of development created
by their government. Since they are hurt, they are breaking party’s discipline
by aggressively opposing the government’s vikas yatra,” he said.
