The second phase of Congress parivartan yatra concluded on Tuesday. The
party concluded its yatra by organising three public meetings in Dhamtari,
Gunderdehi and Balod assembly constituencies.
The
yatra’s media coordinator Jaswant Claudius informed that AICC general secretary
Digvijay Singh, union minister of state for agriculture and food processing
industries Charandas Mahant, state Congress chief Nandkumar Patel, CLP leader
Ravindra Choubey and senior part leaders hit at BJP government on issued like
grafts, misuse of Central funds, exploitation of tribals, squandering of
mineral resources to industrialists, etc.
At
Dhamtari rally, Digvijay Singh termed BJP as anti-poor and pro-capitalist
party. He asked if the BJP was against naxals then how come it managed to
secure 70-80 percent votes in naxal-infested regions during polls.
The
party commenced third phase of yatra Matiyari (Beltara) and Sipat (Masturi) on
May 2. On the following day it conducted rallies in Pamgarh, Bilaigarh and
Sarangarh.
On
May 4, the yatra reached Saraipali, Basna and Mahasamund while on May 5 the
rallies were organised in Komakhan (Khallari), Gariyaband (Bindranawagarh) and
Nayapara (Abhanpur).
On
May 6, the yatra reached Kurud, Nagri (Sihawa) and Rajim while on Tuesday, i.e.
May 7 the public meetings were held at Dhamtari, Gunderdehi and Balod.
