The YC activists on Monday
demonstrated before offices of Telibandha-based two chit fund companies – SUSK
and Shining Star and asked the company managements to return funds deposited by
people.
The YC general secretaries Anis
Nizami and Kamran Ansari informed that people had deposited about Rs 480 crore
in the two companies by far and both firms were waiting for time to escape.
“These companies are deceiving people
by tempting them of giving five time return of their deposited funds. The
government should take stern action against both chit fund companies and ask
Income Tax department, Reserve Bank of India, Enforcement Directorate and
Securities and Exchange Board of India to conduct probe into the matter,” they said.
Alleging that the government was
protecting chit fund companies they cases of said about 150 chit fund were
still pending.
They warned the government of locking
the offices of both the companies and launching aggressive agitation against
such firms if it would not take action against them in three days.
The YC activists who accompanied the
duo on the occasion were Ajay Kshatre, Hamid Raja, Alif Khan, Rafeeque Khan,
etc.
