Congress on Friday linked chief minister Raman Singh’s remark on
Karnataka result as his fear to lose the top post in wake of raids in Pushp
Steel. “By saying that the BJP lost Karnataka assembly polls because the CM was
changed, Singh has apparently hinted the national leadership that such
experiment in Chhattisgarh could cost dear to the party in upcoming polls,”
said state Congress chief Nandkumar Patel and CLP leader Ravindra Choubey.
They
said whether the BJP would remove Singh or not is its internal matter but the
people of Chhattisgarh had made their mindset to remove the incumbent
government as wave of change could be felt in state.
They
said Singh too experienced the wave during his government’s vikas yatra in
Bastar where Pichhda Varg Kalyan Manch and Sarva Adivasi Samaj overtly
protested the yatra.
“The
tribal community of Bastar believes that the vikas yatra is nothing but a deception.
The BJP organisation’s pressure on its OBC leaders in Bastar too proved to be
fruitless,” they added.
“Despite
spending public money on vikas yatra, the BJP government has failed to pull
crowd. The government had hired three dance groups at the cost of Rs 58 lakh to
keep the crowd engaged, however it failed in its objective. The government will
also pay Rs 5000 to local dance group for two hour-performance in each region,”
they said.
“Singh’s
confidence is diminishing as the yatra is advancing. The government yatra is a
complete flow show,” they said.
