Inaugurates
RSU’s 50th
foundation day and golden jubilee ceremony
Raipur, May 01, 2013
Humanity is fast
disappearing in modern-day society. We should save it by waking the bunch of
those good people who are still sleeping. The words were expressed by Padmashree
Justice Chandrashekhar Dharmadhikari while he was addressing during
inauguration of Pt Ravishankar Shukla University’s (RSU) 50th
foundation day and golden jubilee ceremony at varsity’s auditorium on
Wednesday.
Dharmadhikari, who expressed his
opinion on topic – ‘bhagwan so gaya, insaan kho gaya’ on the occasion, said even
60 years after independence it is difficult to say that the country has
attained equality on the basis of religion, caste, property, etc.
Pointing towards VIP darshan system
in religious places he said there should not be inequality on the name of god. He
said it was unfortunate that even temples had become symbol of grandeur, for
they are know on the names of those who built them. He said Mahatma Gandhi’s
dream of Swaraj in the country had not yet been accomplished.
In his address, Governor and
chancellor of state’s universities Shekhar Dutt termed RSU as a prestigious
varsity of the country and said the state had too much expectation from it.
He
said the varsity had succeeded in meeting the objectives of its foundation to a
large extent and was advancing continuously with new works and initiatives.
Indicating
that promotion of small and medium-scale enterprises lead to development of a
country and Chhattisgarh had immense potential in industrial development due to
its rich mineral resources, he said the state’s varsities should take
initiative in that direction by imparting professional knowledge and technical
skill.
He
said parameters of academics-related comparisons had crossed regional and
national boundaries and raised to international-level, hence the state
universities too should set high educational standards.
On
the occasion, higher education minister Ramvichar Netam, former union minister
Vidyacharan Shukla and RSU’s vice chancellor Professor SK Pandey were also
present.
