Pushp steel case: Baghel challenges CM for open debate

Raipur, May 04, 2013

Congress has decided not to spare chief minister Raman Singh into Pushp Steel case as the party general secretary Bhupesh Baghel has now asked the CM to accept his challenge for open debate.

“By saying that nobody can challenge him into Pushp Steel case, the CM has compelled me take a call as I am son of Chhattisgarh soil,” said Baghel who has recently written a letter to the CBI director to probe into the matter.

“The CM’s recent remark shows his frustration. He fears that CBI inquiry will expose him and his government,” Baghel said.

“Push Steel case is not that old what CM claims. In fact, when the CBI will start its investigation into the matter, several eye-opening facts will come to fore,” he said.

Baghel said his allegations on the matter were based on facts and evidences. “The CM and the then principal secretary have done irregularities in Pushp Steel case and have complete documental evidence in this connection,” he said.

CM’s language objectionable: Cong

Raipur, May 04: Congress has objected over CM’s remark terming it against his dignity. “Instead of replying to people on allegations levelled against him into Pushp Steel matter, the CM says nobody can challenge him. He uses such words in his party’s state executive meting. It seems, he is trying to challenge BJP’s senior leaders by adopting such a harsh tone,” said chief Congress spokesperson Shailesh Nitin Trivedi.

“The CM looks frustrated after the names of three top BJP leaders –Narendra Modi, Nitin Gadkari and Venkaiah Naidu surfaced in Bhatgaon and Parsa coal block scams and therefore he forgot to uphold the decorum of the post he assumes,” Trivedi said.

“Bhatgaon coal block was given to Sancheti who is close to Nitin Gadkari. Similarly, Parsa coal block, which has been allocated to state power generation company, has been given to Adani who is close to Narendra Modi. Adani has given the job of coal excavation to Hyderabad’s AMR Limited. The owner of AMR Limited is close to Venkaiah Naidu. The AMR Limited has further given the job to Nagpur’s KJ Khullar and Company whose owner is close to Nitin Gadkari,” elaborated Trivedi.

“The names of top BJP leaders have flashed one-by-one in allocation of state’s mines. In Pushp Steel case too, yet another top BJP leader’s corrupt face would be exposed,” he said.

“The people of Chhattisgarh will never absolve the CM as has misused state’s rich mineral resources to appease top BJP leaders,” he added.
