Congress is planning to strongly
raise Pushp Steel and proposed power tariff hike issues in its parivartan yatra
and statewide door-to-door campaign - har ghar Congress, ghar-ghar Congress.
Notably, the party launched
three-month long door-to-door drive on April 1 and parivartan yatra on April
12. The fourth phase of the yatra will commence from Bijapur on May 23.
In
Pushp Steel case, the Congress has launched offensive against chief minister
Raman Singh and is alleging that the latter was deeply involved into the matter.
In this connection, the party general secretary Bhupesh Baghel has written
letters to chief election commissioner at New
Delhi and state’s chief secretary.
While
the Congress is continuously attacking the CM on Pushp Steel case, the
government is defending the latter and giving clarifications on every
allegation against him since recent past.
In
the backdrop of its recent disclosures on Pushp Steel case, the Congress would
like to encash the matter by raising it prominently during parivartan yatra.
The
party has also found proposed hike in electricity rates as another major issue
related to public. Holding government’s policies responsible for loss incurred
by Chhattisgarh state power distribution company limited (CSPDCL) the party’s
state unit president Nandkumar Patel and Ravindra Choubey say that the Congress
will oppose power tariff hike. The party aims to hit at the government on both
the issues in its two drives.
