AICC’s permanently invited member Anil Shastri will attend
two public rallies on the first day of fourth phase of Congress parivartan
yatra on May 23.
According to information, Shastri will
reach state capital from Mumbai at noon on May 22. At evening, he will proceed
to Jagdalpur via road route. On the following day he will attend public
meetings at Bijapur and Karali (Dantewada Vidhan Sabha area).
On May 24, he will talk to Jagdalpur media
at 11 am and Raipur
media at 5 pm. On May 25, he will leave for Bangalore at morning.
The state Congress aims to rope in a few
more national leaders in fourth phase of the yatra.
The party spokesperson Mahendra Chhabda
said yatra’s fourth phase will be attended by PCC head Nandkumar Patel, CLP
leader Ravindra Choubey and senior party leaders.
The party is preparing to strongly attack
chief minister Raman Singh on Pushp Steel case and would demand his resignation
during fourth phase of the yatra.
Besides, proposed power tariff hike would
be another major issue on which the principal opposition would take on the BJP
government and seek its explanation as what compelled it take such move despite
Chhattisgarh being power surplus state.
The party also plans to hit at the
government’s vikas yatra and likely to publicise that the ruling party is
misusing public fund.
In fourth phase, besides Bijapur and
Karali the party will hold rallies in - May 24 - Jagdalpur, Bakawand (Bastar VS
area), May 25 – Sukma (Konta VS area), Darbha (Chitrakot VS area), May 26 –
Narayanpur, Kondagaon, May 27 – Keshkal, Kanker, May 28 – Antagarh,
Bhanupratappur, Doundi-Lohara and May 29 – Mohla (Mohla Manpur VS area),
Kumarda (Khujji VS area), Dongargaon.
