Migration due to grafts in MNREGA: Cong

Congress on Saturday said state’s labourers were migrating to other states due to massive corruption in MNREGA works. The Congress parivartan yatra’s media coordinator Jaswant Claudius informed that the party highlighted government’s indifference towards state’s labourers during its public rally at Mahasamund. 

In the rally, state Congress president Nandkumar Patel said the Centre had provided over Rs 500 crore to Chhattisgarh for MNREGA works but the state government misused the fund. He also slammed the state government for not implementing cash transfer scheme.

The rally was also addressed by addressed AICC secretary and Chhattisgarh incharge secretary Bhakt Charandas and union minister of state for agriculture and food processing industries Charandas Mahant.

The party also organised public meetings in Saraipali and Basna on Saturday. Claudius informed that the party would organise three rallies on Sunday in - Komakhan (Khallari VS area), Gariyaband (Bindranawagarh VS area) and Nayapara (Abhanpur VS area).
