HC rejected govt, Pushp steel’s petitions in Apr 2013: Cong

Says now BJP president must take action against CM Raman Singh

Congress on Thursday disclosed that Delhi High Court had rejected petitions of Chhattisgarh government and Pushp Steel on April 5, 2013, while the government was by far deceiving people by saying that the matter was still pending with the court. “The court order actually confirms Congress’ allegations of chief minister Raman Singh’s involvement into Pushp Steel case. Now, BJP president Rajnath Singh should show courage and take action against the CM,” said PCC general secretary Bhupesh Baghel and chief Congress spokesperson Shailesh Nitin Trivedi while talking to newsmen at Congress Bhawan.

They claimed to have obtained a copy of the court verdict. “It was evident from the decision’s copy that the government supported Pushp Steel at every juncture when the matter reached to the court,” they said.
They pointed that the state government even took advice from country’s renowned and one of the most expensive lawyers of the country Soli Sorabjee on its recommendation for mining lease (ML) and prospecting licence (PL) to Pushp Steel.

“Evidently, the government wanted to benefit the Pushp Steel owner, hence it availed Sorabjee’s legal advice. Contrarily, in BALCO land acquisition case it sent deputy advocate general to put its stance. The government did it because it wanted to give 200 acres lands to BALCO,” they charged.
