Congress on Wednesday said the BJP was insulting martyrdom of its senior leaders by giving derogatory statement on kalash yatra. The state BJP secretary and spokesperson Sanjay Shrivastava had termed kalash yatra as kalah (feud) yatra on July 9, 2013.
The Congress spokesperson Shailesh Nitin Trivedi said the party and people of Chhattisgarh were deeply hurt by Shrivastava’s insulting remark. “For this, the BJP national president Rajnath Singh should tender apology to state people,” he added.
“First, the BJP government did not provide security to our parivartan yatra convoy and not it is trying to belittle martyrdom of our leaders. This is objectionable and intolerable,” he said.
