Tender resignation if you cannot work: Choudhary

Raipur, June 29, 2013

Mahila Congress vice president and Chhattisgarh Pradesh Mahila Congress (PMC) incharge Deepti Choudhary has categorically asked the organisation’s office-bearers to tender their resignation if they fail to work.

“Your post is not to remain inactive. You will have to prove your selection as an office-bearer and guide the workers,” she said while addressing PMC office-bearers at Congress Bhawan on Saturday.

She said the PMC would have to intensify its activities in the state and target the BJP government on all women-related issues like hysterectomy and tubectomy cases, Jhaliyamari rape incident, women harassment cases, etc.

Later talking to scribes Choudhary said the PMC would play key role in upcoming assembly polls.
She further said the sacrifice of deceased Congress leaders would not go waste as the party would win the Vidhan Sabha elections and pay them true tribute.

The meeting was also participated by acting PCC chief Charandas Mahant and CLP leader Ravindra Choubey.

The PMC meeting was attended by Asha Joseph, Bhojkumari Yadu, Parvati Sahu, Akda Thakur, Premlata Bhoi, Chhaya Verma, Chandrawati Sahu, Sulochana Thakur, Anita Kosaria, Pushpa Pradhan, Usha Rajjan Shrivastava, Kalpana Patel, etc.
