The office-bearers of district and block units of Congress will play key role in upcoming assembly and general elections. In this connection, acting PCC president Charandas Mahant is convening meetings of DCC and BCC heads for the past couple of days.
On Saturday, he once again held one-to-one talks with district and block heads of Dhamtari, Mungeli, Durg urban and Durg rural units. In all the meetings, he was accompanied by CLP leader Ravindra Choubey and PCC programme coordinator Bhupesh Baghel.
Later Mahant said objective of all the meetings was to ensure that the office-bearers of district and block heads play effective role during elections. Besides, they will foster party activities in their respective areas, he added.
The one-to-one meetings were attended by DCC Dhamtari president Ghameshwari Sahu, DCC Mungeli chief Durga Baghel, DCC Durg urban head RN Verma and DCC Durg rural chief Ghanaram Sahu.
Besides, the block heads Chandan Bafna, Mohan Lalwani, Prabha Shrivastava, Rakesh Patre, Kaushal Singh Kshatri, Padmini Vaishnav, Dr Nazir Ahmed Quraishi, Mehattar Verma, Sujeet Baghel, Rohit Kurre, Deendayal Chandrakar, Vijay Yadav, Amirchand Arora, K Koteshwar Rao, Rajednra Kumar Apale, Umesh Tiwari, Samuel Tiwari, Rajendra Singh Yadav, Danbai Tamaskar, Ajay Mishra, Rajkumar Narayani, Jamuna Sahu, etc.
