Reacting on CAG report Congress on Wednesday said it had exposed BJP government’s grafts again. “Besides unearthing corruption and inordinate expenses of different departments the CAG has also pointed towards government’s empty claims,” said acting PCC chief Charandas Mahant and CLP leader Ravindra Choubey.

“The CAG underlines those scams in MNREGA under which expenditures have been done without approval of works. The report prominently says that failed to provide minimum 100-day employment to 92% registered labourers under MNREGA. The CAG also found corruption in PMGSY works,” they said.

“The report further says that Chhattisgarh housing board (CHB) did scam worth Rs 181 crore by constructing expensive houses and shops on lands acquired to build houses for poor. It has also disclosed graft wroth Rs 68.8 crore in construction of EWS houses for poor,” they said.

“The report also says that Chhattisgarh text book corporation (CTBC) has done scam of Rs 36.67 lakh in publishing books and the CHB and PWD contractors received payment without doing any work,” they added.
