Mahant asks DCC heads to tone up party at booth-level

Union minister of state for agriculture and food processing industry and acting PCC chief Charandas Mahant has asked district and block presidents of Raipur urban, Raipur rural, Mahasamund and Balodabazar to beef up organisation at booth-level considering assembly polls in November-December 2013 and general elections in 2014. Mahant’s instructions came during the meeting he held at Congress Bhawan on Wednesday noon.

He asked the district and block heads to quickly constitute pending booth committees to intensify activities in the particular areas. He further asked DCC and BCC chiefs to conduct monthly meetings regularly and mobilise workers at grassroot-level.

Earlier, Mahant talked to heads of PCC’s cells and departments and reviewed their works. Pointing that party’s frontal organisations as well as cells and departments would play crucial role upcoming polls he said the activities and events should be launched accordingly.

The meeting of DCC and BCC units was attended by district heads - Inderchand Dhariwal (Raipur urban), Pankaj Sharma (Raipur rural), Mohit Dhruv (Mahasamund), Janakram Sahu (Balodabazar), block heads – Ghanshyam Raju Tiwari (Gudhiyari), Mamta Rai (Sadar Bazar), Avtar Singh Saini (Tatibandh), Nirmala Sonwani (Abhanpur), Kalindi Verma, Udhoram Verma, Vedram Manhare, Aswant Das Sahu, Sandeep Pandey, Bhagirath Baghel, Kartik Ram Lakhe,  Ghanaram Sahu, Nandkumar Chandrakar, Dr Parmanand Sahu, Dhanraj Madhyani, Rajesh Singh, Jasbeer Dhillon, Alok Chandrakar, Ramkishan Agrawal, Basant Sahu, Sushil Sharma, etc.

The meeting of cells and departments were attended by Kanhaiyya Agrawal – business cell, Ramlal Bhardwaj – SC department, Rajendra Singh Netaji – jhuggi jhopdi cell, Haji Nijamuddin – minority cell, Molilal Sahu – OBC department, Mohan Mani Jatwar – migration cell, Dr Shivnarayan Dwivedi – medical cell, Lalit Mishra – grievance redressal cell, Digvijay Singh Kridutt – kisan and khet majdoor Congress, Shobha Yadav – environment cell, Samir Pandey – IT cell, Mahendra Kochchar – disabled service cell, Santosh Agrawal – urban bodies cell and Jeevan Lal Sahu – ex-servicemen men cell.
