Is it a kalash yatra or kalah yatra, asks BJP

Raipur, July 09, 2013

Indicating towards stalemate between Ajit Jogi faction and other factions in Congress, the BJP on Tuesday asked whether the principal opposition in state was taking out kalash yatra or kalah (feud) yatra.
“On naxalism, the Congress leaders have expressed different opinions. In last one month, majority of the Congmen had used sympathetic words for Maoists. The acting PCC president Charandas Mahant and AICC secretary Bhakta Charandas too have adopted defensive attitude during their comments on the extremists. Ironically, Bhakta Charandas has even termed naxals as his brothers,” said state BJP secretary and spokesperson Sanjay Shrivastava.
“The kalash yatra has actually transformed into kalah yatra because Chhattisgarh and national Congress leaders contradict each other while commenting on naxals. While national Congress leaders condemn May 25 incident and show commitment to fight with the extremists, their fellow partymen in state avoid using harsh tone against naxals,” Shrivastava said.
Pointing that kalash yatra had received feeble response by far he said it happened because the people no more trust Congress. “The naxals expanded in the country due to Congress. Since, only BJP-led NDA government has grit to wipe out these extremists, the people should give it opportunity at Centre once again,” he said.
He said in Chhattisgarh too the Congress should stop dreaming of coming to power again as the people had made their mindset give third consecutive mandate to BJP in November-December assembly elections. He said the results of Keshkal and Bagbahra bypolls were evident indicators that Congress had no chance of victory in Vidhan Sabha polls.
