Cong to observe birth, death anniversaries of four leaders

Congress has decided to observe birth and death anniversaries of its four leaders, who became victim of naxal attack on May 25, 2013, in district and block headquarters. 

The four leaders are – Nandkumar Patel (birth – November 8, death May 25), Vidya Charan Shukla (birth - August 2, death – June 11), Mahendra Karma (birth – August 5, death – May 25) and Uday Mudliyar (birth – July 31, death May 25). 

The party leadership has directed DCC and BCC heads to pay tribute to the four leaders and organise conferences on their birth and death anniversaries. The party’s frontal organisations have been asked to ensure that office-bearers of their district and block units remain present on such occasions.
