CID to probe advocate harassment case

Raipur, April 12, 2013

DGP Ramnivas has directed Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to probe into Narayanpur’s advocate harassment case. In this connection, the Youth Congress (YC) members on Friday submitted a memorandum to Ramnivas seeking action against three police officials who allegedly harassed Narayanpur’s senior advocate Shivkumar Pandey and his son Anurag Pandey on false charges.

“Taking prompt action on our request, Ramnivas instantly instructed CID to probe into the matter,” said YC’s state vice president Deepak Mishra.

He informed that the police officials ASP Amit Tukaram Kamble, SDOP Devnarayan Patel and sub inspector Komal Netam had trapped Pandey and his son on false charges and harassing the duo continuously.

“These cops are also misbehaving with Pandey’s wife and daughter by summoning them to police station. Pandey’s daughter has complained about this to members of human rights commission recently at New Circuit House Raipur. This is an inhuman act and people no more trust the police now,” Mishra added.
Demanding suspension of three cops and appropriate action against them, Mishra said all the charges against Pandey and his son should be lifted.

While submitting memorandum to DGP, Mishra was accompanied by Amit Sharma, Chandrashekhar Shrivastava, NSUI Raipur district vice president Bhavesh Shukla, Akash Sharma, Leela Sahu, Bablu Raza, Vishnu Sharma, Wasimuddin, Hamzuddin, Gaurav Shrivastava, Ujjwal Kaushik, Ahfaq, etc.
