Cong objects over HM’s remark on govt officials

Raipur, Apr 04, 2013

Objecting over home minister Nankiram Kanwar’s remark on government officials, Congress on Thursday said the minister was not supposed to use such derogatory language against officials as his public statements would only disturb administrative system. Kanwar has reportedly termed government officials as Congress agents during his recent Korba tour.

“The BJP ministers lack administrative capability to handle officials hence the latter have become unrestrained,” said deputy leader of Congress legislators’ party Rampukar Singh, party vice president Kawasi Lakhma, PCC general secretary Dr Premsai Singh and PMC president Ambika Markam.

They alleged that Kanwar’s attack on officials was pre-planned. “He is rather trying to hide his government’s failure by targeting officials. Earlier, he had targeted district collectors by saying that they were working on directives of Central government. He has not even spared the police administration. He said the cops are engaged in illegal recovery and grafts,” they pointed.

The Congress leaders slammed Kanwar for attempting to divert public attention from anarchy prevailed in home department. “Every other day, a rape incident takes place. Girls are insecure in government girls’ ashram schools. Recently, a minor girl was gangraped and murdered in Durg. The minister should tell why his government is not taking moral responsibility of all these crimes,” they said.

They pointed that upset by chief minister’s interference in his department, Kanwar trained his guns towards officials and used foul language against them.
