Internal bickering at its peak in BJP: Congress

Raipur, April 17, 2013

Pointing towards recent conflict between two BJPians before senior their party leaders at Vishrampur (Sarguja), the Congress on Wednesday said the episode confirmed that indiscipline and internal bickering in the ruling party was at its peak.

“Both the BJPians wielded sword and tried to overpower each other in front of their state incharge JP Nadda and organisational secretary Ramlal at the residence of Sarguja parliamentarian. This created panic in the ambience. Certainly this incident has once again exposed the BJP’s conduct and character,” said chief Congress spokesperson Shailesh Nitin Trivedi.

He asked the senior BJP leaders to express their opinion on the episode indicating that they had promptly reacted and advised Youth Congress members when the latter had competed on sloganeering at Congress event in Sarguja recently.

He alleged that internal bickering in BJP was actually for share of fund generated through corruption. “In last ten years, the BJP has ignored and alienated its dedicated workers. Now, with nearing polls, these workers are openly expressing their anger,” he added.

He charged that several criminals too were taking refuge in the BJP by joining the party.

“The ruling party no more cares for its dedicated workers but criminals. The Vishrampur incident is not new in the BJP as earlier the supporters of Durg MP Saroj Pandey and former state assembly Speaker Premprakash Pandey had clashed over selection of leader of the opposition in Bhilai municipal corporation,” he said.
