YC burns Sangma’s effigy

Raipur, April 15, 2013

Infuriated over National People’s Party (NPP) president PA Sangma’s controversial remark on senior Congress MLA Ajit Jogi, the members of Youth Congress (YC) burnt his effigy on Monday.

The YC’s Raipur Lok Sabha president Sunil Kukreja said Sangma simple wanted to hog the limelight for his newly-formed party by terming Jogi as “duplicate tribal”.

“Where was Sangma when police lathicharged on tribals in Raipur and Jhaliyamari rape incident surfaced? Instead of struggling for justice of tribals, he is playing politics on their name. This proves that he is playing vote bank politics to attract tribals,” Kukreja said.

He warned Sangma that YC would show him black flags if would not take back his statement.

On the occasion, Kukreja was accompanied by Ashok Sonwani, Milind Gautam, Sajman Bagh, Deepak Jaiswal, Shashikant Sahu, Soma Thakur, Ekansh Sharma, Sagar Dulhani, Shankar Ratre, Sudhir, etc.
