Raipur, April 22, 2013
Former Uttar Pradesh PCC chief Rita Bahuguna Joshi and
leader of opposition in Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Ajay Singh on Monday lashed
at Chhattisgarh government for making empty promises and ignoring people. The
duo, while talking to media persons at Mana airport’s VIP lounge, said the Congress
parivartan yatra would bring anticipated change in Chhattisgarh in upcoming
assembly polls.
Notably, Joshi and Singh arrived state
capital to kick start second phase of party’s parivartan yatra on Monday. The
duo left for Raigarh after a brief stay at Raipur.
Yatra will make people aware of govt’s
misdeeds: Joshi
During her interaction with scribes, Joshi
made it evident that the yatra’s aim was not just to bring change in power, but
make people aware of Chhattisgarh government’s misdeeds. “We will definitely win next assembly polls in
Chhattisgarh if tickets will be given to right candidates at right time,” she
added.
“The BJP government is anti-poor,
anti-farmer and pro-industrialist. It has deceived people by changing names of Central
schemes and claiming as its concept. Through yatra we will disclose its real
face,” she said.
She further said the BJP government failed
in every front and did not fulfill any of its promise made to people. She asked
the government to issue white paper containing details of promises it had
fulfilled.
She alleged that the government was
protecting and promoting industrialists and corrupt officials. Pointing towards
Jhaliyamari rape incident, she charged that the government had failed to give
security to women. She further said the government had also failed to make its
presence felt in tribal regions.
On chances of AICC vice president Rahul
Gandhi’s Chhattisgarh visit, she said the former was touring extensively in
different parts of the country and would surely come to the tribal state in
coming days.
BJP will not make hat trick in CG, MP:
Ajay Singh
The leader of Congress legislators’ party
at Madhya Pradesh Ajay Singh said the BJP would never succeed in making a hat
trick in Chhattisgarh and MP. “Change will come from the grassroot level. Our
workers are toiling hard. The Congress will surely come to power in MP and
Chhattisgarh in next Vidhan Sabha polls,” he said.
On polarisation in Congress he said every
political party had factions. He pointed that BJP was more polarised than
Congress in MP. “Thanks to Uma Bharti and Prabhat Jha who are sufficient to
sink MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s ship this time,” he said.
Earlier, Joshi and Singh were welcomed by
state Congress president Nandkumar Patel, CLP leader Ravindra Choubey and other
Congmen at airport.
