Congress says if chief minister Raman Singh has brahmastra
as he always claims then it is high time to use it now in eradicating crime and
corruption and brining peace and tranquillity in state.
“The state’s law and order situation is
deteriorating day-by-day. The women and girls are not secure as there has been
marked rise in rape and gangrape incidents in the recent past. The BJP
government has failed to provide congenial atmosphere to women to lead a
respectful life. The CM should use his brahmastra to check these incidents,”
said Congress spokesperson Sushil Anand Shukla on Friday.
He said the powerful weapon could also be
used to give relief to farmers and poor of the state.“The government has not given five years
of paddy bonus to farmers. It has also failed to provide electricity at low
rates to people. Sancheti and Adani groups are plundering the state. Patients
are losing their eyesight because duplicate medicines are being used in
government eye camps. Smart cards meant for treatment of poor are being
misused. Farmers’ agricultural lands are being acquired forcibly. One minister
is involved in benami land deals. If the CM really had brahmastra, he would
have freed the state from corruption and bad governance,” he added.
