Cong starts second phase of parivartan yatra

Raipur, April 22, 2013

Congress started second phase of its parivartan yatra by conducting three public rallies in Raigarh, Kharsia and Dabra (Chandrapur) on Monday. In first phase, the party had organised 16 public rallies – 14 in Sarguja division and two in Bilaspur division.

To commence second phase of the yatra the party had invited ex- PCC chief of Uttar Pradesh Rita Bahuguna Joshi and leader of opposition in Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Ajay Singh. The two leaders, accompanied by state Congress president Nandkumar Patel, CLP leader Ravindra Choubey, yatra coordinator TS Singhdeo and other Congress leaders, addressed the party’s Raigarh and Kharsia rallies. 

In the first phase, the party had invited AICC spokesperson and MP Sandeep Dixit. The yatra’s media coordinator Jaswant Claudius informed that the party received massive response in all the three rallies on Monday. The party has invited AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh to participate in its third phase of yatra on May 7.

The second phase of the yatra will be taken out from April 22-27. On Tuesday, the party will organise public rallies at Jaijaipur – 11 am, Sakti – 3 pm and Janjgir – 6 pm.
