The first phase of Congress parivartan yatra will begin from
Ambikapur on Friday. State Congress president Nandkumar Patel has appealed to
the partymen to get ready to convey message of change to people through yatra.
“We will expose the BJP government through
yatra. We will tell people how the government ignored and exploited them and
did not fulfill its poll promises,” said Patel.
He
informed that the party would cover 3218 km of state in 45 days and organise 85
public rallies in 90 assembly constituencies. “Besides, the party will inform
people about misdeeds of government through nukkad meetings and by distributing
pamphlets during yatra,” he said.
“People
trust on Congress and they believe that it will bring change in the state. The
Congress workers too are eagerly waiting for yatra to start. We hope that we
will dethrone BJP in next assembly elections,” said Patel.
The
PCC spokesperson Mahendra Chhabda informed that the yatra will begin from
Ambikapur’s Mahamaya temple at 11 am on Friday. On the occasion will be present
Chhattisgarh Congress incharge BK Hariprasada, state unit’s incharge secretary
Bhakt Charandas, AICC treasurer Motilal Vora, union minister of state Charandas
Mahant, state unit chief Nandkumar Patel, CLP leader Ravindra Choubey, Vidya
Charan Shukla, Ajit Jogi, yatra convenor TS Singhdeo and all senior party
leaders.
From
Mahamaya temple the parivartan express bus will reach to Kala Kendra Maindan via
Mahamaya chowk, Sangam chowk and Ghadi chowk. The senior leaders will address
the public rally at Kala Kendra Maindan from 12-3 pm.
From
Ambikapur, the yatra bus will reach to Bhatgaon via Letari, Sunagra and Jarhi.
At 4 pm, the party leaders will address a rally at Bhatgaon stadium. The first phase of yatra will conclude at
Dharamjaigarh on April 18.
