Congress on Friday said that the BJP government had lost public trust
in the aftermath of May 25-naxal attack on parivartan yatra.
“The
government was supposed to provide adequate security to the yatra. When people
having z and z plus security cover are being killed then how come the common
man feel secure in state,” asked Congress spokesperson Sushil Anand Shukla.
He
also lashed at the BJPians for continuously giving statements on May 25
incident. “The BJPians are not only insulting the deceased Congmen by giving wrong
statements but also creating delusion in state,” he said.
He
alleged that naxalism rapidly expanded in Chhattisgarh in past ten years during
BJP regime. “The Maoists have even increased their domain to urban pockets. Hence,
the people outside Chhattisgarh consider it as a disturbed region and refrain
from coming to state,” he said.
He
further flayed home minister Nankiram Kanwar for stating that Congress is
habituated of taking political mileage of its dead leaders. “The HM was
supposed to control law and order of the state but he is more engrossed in
politicising May 25 incident – an evident indicator of his non-seriousness
towards public security,” he said.
He
pointed that despite admitting of security lapse chief minister Raman Singh and
DGP Ramnivas were not fixing responsibility.
